Wexford Business Awards 2019
On Friday 24th May 2019, the team from Reynaers Ireland donned their finery and joined 500 guests from the world of Wexford business at the 11th Annual Wexford Business Awards, organised by Wexford Chamber and hosted in Clayton Whites Hotel.
Having been shortlisted in three categories; Excellence in International Trade, Operational Excellence and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), the tension mounted as the affable MC for the evening Ivan Yates began to announce the winners. To our delight we were nominated as winners of Excellence in International Trade, for our success as Irish representatives of the global Reynaers business, as well as for our Components division, which produces more over 300 different items that go to make up our products worldwide. These are shipped from Enniscorthy to our HQ in Belgium for redistribution globally. The jury appreciated this sustainable approach to business and how we have tailored our international business model to suit the needs of the Irish market.
The icing on the cake was to be announced as winners of the Operational Excellence category shortly afterwards. This award recognised our efforts to transform a traditional manufacturing business using the latest modern technology and business practices. To win this category while in the midst of a year-long renovation of our Enniscorthy facility is testimony to the continued efforts of the whole team to maintain the highest operating standards.
